Fusion 2010

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the inaugural regional food and drink competition ‘Fusion’, which takes place over seven nights in July 2010 at The Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Fusion is a food and drink regional competition, whereby eight of the region's finest chef's and mixologist's will be teamed up in pairs and be given the task of working together to create a tantalising three course mini menu of food and drink.

Typically Chefs competing in this type of competition are asked to consider food pairing with a carefully selected wine. Here’s the twist, this competition is all about the perfect Fusion of tastes that work well together to create a very memorable dining experience and with this in mind each guest will experience first hand the benefits of being served a mini cocktail with each course that both compliments the dish and gives that extra special wow factor.

Over the course of seven nights (Four quarter finals, two semi finals & The Grand Final), two teams will take it in turn to go head to head in front of a live, paying audience; who will decide whose culinary and mixology skills reign supreme and deserve to be crowned the champion of Fusion 2010 North East.

Fusion North East is the first event in a nationwide competition, where teams from around the country will compete to be the best in their region winning the opportunity to compete for the title of UK Fusion Winner 2010.
