Kenyan Acorn Project - Charity Dinner

This African themed dinner was held to raise funds for the Kenyan Acorn Project (KAP), a charity that was founded to provide valuable resources to poverty stricken areas in Kenya.

Monies raised benefitted the people of Ndhiwa in the continued health and education projects that KAP established and without our help would be unable to maintain. Guests were served some of Africa’s traditional dishes and entertained by ‘The Kings Castle Church Gospel Choir, the choir made such an impact that guests rose to their feet to sing and dance!!

Traditional arts and crafts made by the people of Ndhiwa were also made available for purchase on the night. After dinner speakers included those who founded the charity, The Kenyan High Commissioner and Dr. David Goulding CBE. A charity auction followed and was compared by the patron of the charity Mr. Damon Britton.

I really enjoyed this event plus all the money raised went to an extremely good cause.
